Exactly 2,863,106 passengers used the Argentine terminals of Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 in May, 6.3% up from the same month last year.
Ezeiza, whose passengers totalled 825,657, grew 9.5% while Aeroparque fell off 7.8%. Mendoza’s El Plumerillo enjoyed an above-average increase of 15.5% although other airports grew more such as Córdoba (20.6%), Tucumán (37%) and Bariloche (30.5%). But Comodoro Rivadavia only rose 5.5% while other airports suffered declines such as Iguazú (-34.7%), Salta (-13.8%) and Río Gallegos (-8.1%).
Jujuy, favoured by the closure of neighbouring Salta,rose most of all with 91.1% while El Palomar continues its progress towards being one of the airports with the most traffic with 57,133 passengers in May.
