Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 has declared open a tender for two major projects at Formosa Airport with an oficial budget of $23,918,868.03 pesos + IVA value-added tax.. 
Firstly, the asphalt will be renewed on runway 04/22, which is 1,800 metres long and 30 wide (plus a 5-metre shoulder on either side) with the aim of optimising it after 20 years since the last improvement..
In the process the track gauge will also be corrected, taking it from the current 1.80% to 1.5%..
This work is to be carried out in a period of 20 days, during which time the airport will remain closed.
The bid envelopes will be opened next June 22 at 10.30am at Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 headquarters in Buenos Aires.
In the near future more details will emerge on remodelling the terminal, which has remained almost intact for some decades.
